Martin Slamon graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Multimedia. He also minored in Interpretive Dance.
Martin is currently employed by Oxford Communications, a marketing and advertising agency in Lambertville, NJ. His job title is Senior Interactive Project Manager, but his co-workers introduce him as the “Interactive Guru” on conference calls. Click here to read the wikipedia entry for the word guru.
His day-to-day duties include but are not limited to the following (not the show with Kevin Bacon): Interactive Research, Designing, Coding, Website Maintenance, Client & Co-worker Interactive Education, Search Engine Optimization, User Experience & User Flow, Sitemapping, Wireframing, Social Media, Project Management, RFP & SOW writing, Budgeting, Asset Coordination, Website Testing/QA’ing, Client Presentations, Domain Registration, Hosting management.
Martin Slamon is adept at using the Adobe Creative Suite, but was told not to list all the programs he uses by a few career advice-related websites. Martin has purposely opened Adobe Fireworks 3 times in his life, and once by accident (he was attempting to open Flash, which is the next program alphabetically speaking).
Martin installed a retro gaming station in the Oxford Communications cafeteria. It features Colecovision, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), the Super Nintendo, the Sega Genesis, and the N64. He is the only male member of Culture Club, a work-group that organizes and plans fun and interesting events for he and his co-workers to enjoy. His coat rack is a skeleton.
Martin is a writer for a sketch comedy group named Yes, Hello! He is also an avid illustrator and photographer.
